Home Page
You can select the page that appears when you start using the Web.   This first page is called the "Home" page.  Before you can follow the directions (below) to change your Home page, you need to find out what version of Netscape or MS Internet Explorer browser you have.  To determine your version, select Help (above, on the toolbar) and then select the last option on the Help menu.  The versions (below) are listed by version number.  For example, a version between 5.00 and 5.99 is listed as 5.x.

These are the steps to select a Home page:

In Netscape Version 2.x and 3.x in Mac or Windows:
1. Select Options on the toolbar bar above.
2. Select General Preferences.
3. Select Appearance.
4. Move your mouse arrow into the blank box after Home page Locator.
5. Write down the Web address in case you want to change it back.
5. Enter a Web address, such as https://www.awesomelibrary.org/, for the Web address you want as your Home page.
6. Select OK.

In Netscape Version 4.x in Mac or Windows:
1. Select Edit on the toolbar bar above.
2. Select Preferences.
3. Select Home page in the Navigator starts with section.
4. Move your mouse arrow into the blank box after Location and "click."
5. Type a Web address, such as https://www.awesomelibrary.org/, for the Web address you want as your Home page.
6. Select OK.

In Internet Explorer Version 5.x for Windows:
Click Here to make Awesome Library your Home page in Windows Internet Explorer 5.x.

In Internet Explorer Version 3.x or 5.x for Windows:
1. Select View on the toolbar bar above.
2. Select Options.
3. Select Navigation.
4. Select Start Page in the Page section.
5. Move your mouse arrow down the blank box after Address and "click."
6. Type a Web address, such as https://www.awesomelibrary.org/, for the Web address you want as your Home page here.
7. Select OK.

In MS Internet Explorer Version 4.x for Windows:
1. Select View on the toolbar bar above.
2. Select Internet Options.
3. Move your mouse arrow down the blank box after Address and "click."
4. Type a Web address, such as https://www.awesomelibrary.org/, for the Web address you want as your Home page here.
5. Select OK.

In MS Internet Explorer Version 3.x for Macintosh:
1. Go to the Awesome Library (https://www.awesomelibrary.org/) 2. Select Edit on the toolbar bar above.
2. Select Preferences.
3. On the left side of the page, select Home/Search Page.
4. Select Use Current in the Change Address section.
5. Select OK.

In MS Internet Explorer Version 4.x for Macintosh:
1. Select Edit on the toolbar bar above.
2. Select Preferences.
3. Select Home/Search (under Web Browser).
4. Move your mouse arrow into the blank box after Location and "click."
5. Type a Web address, such as https://www.awesomelibrary.org/, for the Web address you want as your Home page.
6. Select OK.

In AOL Version 2.x or 3.x in Windows:
1. Select Preferences on the toolbar bar above.
2. Select Advanced.
3. Move your mouse arrow down the blank box after Home and "click."
4. Type a Web address, such as https://www.awesomelibrary.org/, for the Web address you want as your Home page.
5. Select OK.

In AOL Version 4.x or 5.x in Windows:
1. Select My AOL on the toolbar bar above.
2. Select Preferences.
3. Select WWW.
4. Move your mouse arrow into the blank box after Address and "click."
5. Type a Web address, such as https://www.awesomelibrary.org/, for the Web address you want as your Home page.
6. Select OK.

Good Luck!
