"Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Treasury Samuel W. Bodman, former chairman of chemical-maker Cabot Corp., was nominated by President George W. Bush to be energy secretary."
"Bodman, 66, would replace Spencer Abraham, who announced he was resigning Nov. 15, and take over the task of passing energy legislation. The president's energy bill, designed to promote domestic oil and gas drilling, stalled in the Senate this year." 12-04
